This is THE first day

To say that this is the first day of the rest of my life is a little cliche, but still very true. I graduated college on Saturday, and I spent the entire day just doing the housework and yard work that has been neglected during the final weeks of my final semester.

I am a writer, and so my ultimate goal in this new post-college world is to write. I have so much that I need to say. I am hoping to use something like this to help warm up before getting to the real thing, so expect some randomness.

On a strange note, I watched a little movie called The Nines today, and it moved me in ways that I can hardly express. I was crying at the end of it. If you've seen the movie, you now know that I am a total dork. If you have not, then I suggest you see the movie, after which you will know what a total dork I am. The strangeness comes from the subject matter of the movie (having to do with the creation of characters and worlds), and the fact that I chose to watch it today of all days (I swear i had no idea what it was about) when I've owned the movie for well over a month now. The Nines was written and directed by John August, screenwriter, blogger, and fellow countryman.

That, I think, can be all for today. Especially since there isn't really anyone out there yet.
